QForm Seminar took place on 22 January 2019 in Istanbul, Turkey

QForm seminar took place on 22 January 2019 in Workinn Hotel in Istanbul. The seminar was organized together by QForm Group and InSource Yazilim, QForm partner in Turkey. The event was dedicated to upcoming release of new QForm program version and discussion about forging technologies design based on simulation.

During the first half of the seminar we observed a case of technology design based on simulation from our customer made together with QForm Team.

We are very thankful to Hakan Aydin, R&D Team Leader of Birinci Otomotiv who made a presentation about their experience with QForm at Birinci at the second half of the seminar. The presentation has covered a few cases of successful forging technology design based on simulation during the software implementation at the Birinci plant. The presentation was very interesting especially for new QForm users in Turkey to understand added value of simulation at forging plant.

Also, new features of the upcoming new QForm version were shown by Stanislav Kanevskiy.

The latest version of QForm software has got many new features for simulation of hot and cold forging as well as advanced specialized modules for ring rolling, extrusion, heat treatment and microstructure evolution prediction for steels, titanium, aluminum and nickel-based alloys during the whole technological chain. The fastest network and client server workflow with multi-core and multi-task options gives users the ability to develop new and enhance existing forming technologies without press trials. Advanced computational features like dual mesh method, fully thermally and mechanically coupled task, big selection of damage criteria for different deformed materials and low cycle fatigue tools failure prediction open the way to accurate and quick analysis and optimization of the most complex metal forming processes.
