QForm UK Achieves 3rd Place in NUMISHEET 2025 Industrial Benchmark Evaluation
We are proud to announce that QForm UK secured 3rd place in the Industrial Benchmark evaluation at the NUMISHEET 2025 conference, held from July 7–11, 2025.
The Industrial Benchmark focused on a complex sheet metal forming task involving the production of the Mercedes-Benz T-Node component. Participants were required to simulate a one-step deep drawing process using a 1.5 mm thick sheet of 1.4301 stainless steel, followed by 3D trimming.
The primary objective was to design a defect-free deep drawing and trimming process that maximizes material utilization. Key evaluation criteria included the absence of common defects such as tearing and wrinkling, as well as achieving the highest feasible ratio of final part weight to initial blank weight—emphasizing both efficiency and sustainability.
The benchmark intends not to simulate the reference manufacturing process exactly but to design a stable and environmentally friendly process. The focus is on minimal thinning for reliable process control and high material utilization to conserve resources.
QForm UK’s strong performance highlights our commitment to innovation and sustainability in forming simulation technology. We are honored to be recognized among the top performers in this prestigious international benchmarks.
